While discussing the administration’s justification to cut funding to universities on a Fox news segment, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt tossed up some disturbing but not at all surprising word salad. She said that President Trump would prefer funds go towards the trades than “LGBTQ graduate majors” at Harvard. What exactly did she mean by “LGBTQ graduate majors”? Is she referring to queer graduates? Is she referring to students who major in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies? Regardless of what she thinks she said, it’s clear that this current administration continues to attack the freedoms and rights of queer and nonwhite people, all while adorning her trademark “big beautiful” golden cross.
