The lifestyle website Body + Soul has published the results of their 2026 Sex Census, based on its survey of over 2000 sexually active Australian adults, asking about sexual positions they have tried (only 52% admit to having tried oral sex, 30% anal sex, 24% table-top sex, 33% sex while standing up) and favorite fantasies (24% name threesomes, 23% sex with a stranger, 21% sex in risky places where they might be seen, 18% sex while restrained). Tech is increasingly present in the bedroom, with 38% using fitness watches during sex and 25% utilizing AI for companionship, arousal, or help in writing messages. Perhaps most surprising is that a majority of younger respondents (Gen Z and Millenials) voice support for traditional values, such as men being the main breadwinners and women obeying their husband’s wishes, positions supported by only a small minority of baby boomers now in their 60s and 70s. Boomers are also the generation most likely to evaluate partners based on physical attraction, shared values, emotional connection, and capacity for empathy, rather than their politics or social media presence.
