It’s a story about dating and falling in love but set in the animal world. The creators of Big Mouth have a new raunchy animated series about animals looking for “tail.” Mating Season begins with a bear named Josh realizing that he has hibernated for too long and his mate has left him for an alpha bear. The season follows Josh and his friends as they try to find a mate on dating apps, experiment sexually, and just try to get through mating season. Big Mouth focuses on the horrors of puberty and sexual awakening through the eyes of adolescent boys and under the gross and often offensive content there are touching and relatable experiences. It will be interesting to see if Mating Season is able to achieve the same results.
