Gerika Mudra is a non-trans 18-year-old lesbian woman who is filing a charge of discrimination against a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Minnesota because an employee followed her into the women’s bathroom and tried to prevent her from using it upon suspicion of her being a man. While being harassed Mudra revealed her breasts to “prove” her belonging and get said moron to leave her alone. Such harassment in public bathrooms is not new, and these episodes will undoubtedly become more frequent under an administration so hostile to trans and queer livelihoods. Is this a harbinger of what’s to come? Will genitalia guards start cropping up at bathroom entrances? I know. It sounds farcical…but so does 90% of American politics right now.
