In a fascinating study just published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior, a team of Czech researchers tested how 604 female-attracted adult Czech men and 45 female-attracted women responded to still photos of naked women (real, surgically enhanced, AI-generated, CGI-generated, high-end sex doll, and hentai). All groups, male and female, young and old, found the AI-generated images more sexually attractive and aesthetically pleasing than any other category. Porn star may be another job category about to be replaced by AI in our increasingly digital age.
The older one was, the higher one tended to rate real women, and the younger one was, the higher one tended to rate hentai images; this may reflect that older adults have more experience of real women and that young adults are more familiar with the appeal of hentai images, which have become popular in the West only in recent years and especially among pubescents and adolescents whose first crush may be on a hentai character. One surprising result of the study was that women with surgically enhanced body parts were the least appealing among all groups. Young women may want to think twice about that boob job.
