Sexual Harassment at the Museum of Sex

Sexual Harassment at the Museum of Sex

One might think that a gig at New York’s Museum of Sex would equate to a highly sexualized environment full of hijinks from libidinous co-workers. That fantasy has not prevented employees from suing for sexual harassment, as Travis White recently did. One of his colleagues, a self-designated “big girl” who goes by the name Coquette Wonkette, left a screen shot of her vagina open on her laptop, as well as propositioned White repeatedly. Another employee left sex toys on his desk and asked him to “suck cock.” A third told him that anal sex would loosen him up. And to top it all off, his supervisor gave him this ultimatum: “If you can’t get along with other members of the team who have been with the museum far before you arrived, then you won’t be working here for long.”

While we can admit that the New York Post is not our favorite publication, you don’t have to channel Jessica Fletcher to find evidence of disgruntled employees calling out the museum for its toxic work environment. This lawsuit over sexual harassment, for example, was filed by a former tour guide in 2019.
