The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently warned consumers about multiple types of “sexual chocolate” products, including Boner Bears Chocolate, Rhino Choco VIP Chocolate for Men, and Pink Pussycat Brand. Such chocolate-based sexual enhancement supplements were found to contain undeclared prescription erectile dysfunction (ED) medication ingredients, such as tadalafil, the active ingredient in the prescription ED drug Cialis. The agency warned that hidden drug ingredients can pose serious health risks, particularly for people taking medications such as nitrates for heart conditions, because the combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. And it’s important to note that sildenafil and tadalafil – two ED medication ingredients – have not been approved yet for female sexual enhancement, despite the FDA finding sildenafil in the Pink Pussycat Liquid Shot and both ED medications in the Pink Pussycat Honey product. The FDA advised consumers not to use these products and recommended that anyone who experienced adverse effects seek medical attention. Chocolate has long been hailed for its aphrodisiac qualities, and so if that libido of yours needs a crank, just try eating the stuff straight up!
