Trans troops will now be denied hearings when discharged from the Air Force

The onslaught of political attacks on trans American citizens continues. Now Air Force troops will be denied the opportunity to appeal decisions to discharge them from the service for having a diagnosis of gender dysphoria. This latest policy change directly follows the Air Force’s recent announcement that it will no longer offer benefits to those who are separated from service as a result of said diagnosis. Retirement benefits are normally offered to military veterans with 15 to 18 years of honourable service. Instead, they must accept a one-time lump payment or be involuntarily discharged. Wouldn’t you think that the nation that just changed the name of its Department of Defense to the Department of War would treat its soldiers better?
